1.Bhagat singh:

• Bhagat singh 28 september birth anniversary .
• 1907 Bhagat Singh was born in Lyallpur district (Pakistan).
• 1923, Bhagat Singh joined the National College.
• 1924 in Kanpur, he became a member of the Hindustan Republican Association (HRA).
• 1925-26 Bhagat Singh and his colleagues started a militant youth organization called the Naujawan Bharat Sabha.
• 1927, he was first arrested for an article Vidrohi (Rebel) (Kakori Case accused)
• 1928, HRA was renamed - Hindustan Socialist Republican Association (HSRA).
• 1929, Bhagat Singh plotted the assassination of James A. Scott, the Superintendent of Police, to take revenge for the death of Lala Lajpat Rai, But mistakenly  J.P. Saunders was killed. (Lahore Conspiracy Case).
• 1929 Bhagat Singh and B.K. Dutt threw a bomb  in the Central Legislative Assembly, in protest against the passing of two repressive bills, the Public Safety Bill and the Trade Dispute Bill.
• Bhagat Singh was represented by the nationalist counsel Asaf Ali. He defended Bhagat singh.
• 1931 he was hanged on 23rd March, 1931 in Lahore .
• Every year, March 23 is observed as Martyrs’ Day .

2.National Disaster Management Authority: 28 SEPTEMBER FOUNDATION DAY

• NDMA was constituted on 27th September 2006, under the Disaster Management Act, 2005.
• National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), headed by the Prime Minister,
• State Disaster Management Authorities (SDMAs) headed by respective Chief Ministers,

Functions and Responsibilities:

• NDMA Lay down policies on disaster management.
• NDMA Approve the National Plan and Approve plans prepared by the Ministries or Departments of the Government of India in accordance with the National Plan anda the State Plan.

It Recommend provision of funds for the purpose of mitigation.

• It also Provide such support to other countries affected by major disasters as may be determined by the Central Government.
• It Take such other measures for the prevention of disaster, or the mitigation, or preparedness and capacity building for dealing with threatening disaster situations or disasters as it may consider necessary;
• It Lay down broad policies and guidelines for the functioning of the National Institute of Disaster Management.

It is a Covid-19 relief, future economic, and infrastructure package proposed by G-7 countries for developing and lower-income countries.

It  is being seen as the US’ initiative to counter China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

G7 leaders have decided to launch a democratic alternative to the Belt and Road Initiative and have agreed to put together a committee for the same.

The initiative will give developing countries access to more, better and faster financing for vital green infrastructure projects.

The G7, originally G8, was set up in 1975 as an informal forum bringing together the leaders of the world’s leading industrial nations. The summit gathers leaders from the European Union (EU) and the following countries: Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States. The major purpose of the G-7 is to discuss and deliberate on international economic issues and help to resolve other global problems with a special focus on economic issues.

4. National Legal Services Authority

The National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) was constituted under the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987 which came into force on 9th November, 1995 to establish a nationwide uniform network for providing free and competent legal services to the weaker sections of the society.

The Chief Justice of India is the Patron-in-Chief and the second senior most Judge of Supreme Court of India is the Executive Chairman of the Authority.

Article 39 A of the Constitution provides for free legal aid to the poor and weaker sections of the society, to promote justice on the basis of equal opportunity. Article 14 and Article 22 (1), obligates State to ensure equality before law.

It can be noted that the role played by NALSA and its networks is very much relevant to achieving the Sustainable Development Goal-16 , which seeks to “Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels”.

Procedure of Online/offline Test Series:

1. Start preparing as per test schedule given above. Tests papers and Synopsis answer sheets shall be sent to the student (at e-mail id given by the student) upto 5 PM on the day fixed for the Test.

2. Write your test in one sitting, taking standard time prescribed in the test paper. Thereafter, mail your answer sheet only at kushmandaias@gmail.com Quality of Scan should be good.

3. Your copy will be evaluated ‘onscreen digitally’ with 4 to 7 days and sent back through e-mail. Detailed Remarks will be given by teacher on quality, quantity, relevance and flow etc of the answers written. Student may see clarifications on remarks given the teacher, in case remarks are not understood or workable by the student.

To improve your scores in HCS Mains – 2021:

1. Give all tests by preparing well.

2. Revise each test on the same day.

3. Revise all synopses at least 2-3 times before Mains.

4. Give all tests in exam like situation.

5. There are 11 Tests .
